I thrive on eating a nutritious, plant-based diet and am committed to my wellness year round. It’s hard to eat healthy food every day and at every meal, though. So on the days when I’m pressed for time or craving rich comfort foods instead of salad for lunch, I reach for the bottle…of my favorite green juice!
Here are the super healthy drinks I keep on rotation:
Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar Grape Acai Juice
Believe everything you’ve read about apple cider vinegar—it is a miracle! A shot instantly cured my tummy trouble after a Mexican vacation. It also helped me quickly kick my winter cold. Superfood acai in this juice is a bonus. It tastes so good that my two-year-old even loves it, and it only has 5 grams of sugar!
GT Multi-Green Kombucha
Improved digestion, appetite control, more energy, detoxification, immune support, anti-inflammatory properties and cancer prevention are just a few of the reported health benefits of this probiotic-rich fermented tea. This flavor also has the nutritionally-dense super greens, spirulina and chlorella, for an added health boost.
I recently read that rooibos and white tea are effective anti-agers, so now I’m obsessed with tea time. I am especially loving these three blends: Winter Cheer by Flying Bird Botanicals, which in addition to rooibos has cacao, ginger and other healing herbs. Remedy Tea’s BlueHawaii mixes white tea and coconut – it tastes like sunshine and makes me so happy to drink. Numi’s organic Turmeric Three Rootsis another favorite for its anti-inflammatory cures.
The grab-and-go factor of cold-pressed veggie juices is incredible. This is my favorite brand because it is less sweet and packs more veggies than fruit, plus I can get it delivered.

While the taste is acquired, I say you can eat whatever food you want for lunch, if you drink a bottle of this super potent potion with it.
I often make this smoothie for lunch or after school for my boys. It’s our family’s fast-food.
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup coconut milk unsweetened
1/2 a beet
Two huge handfuls of baby kale and spinach
1/2 frozen mixed berries (raspberries, blackberries, strawberries)
Finish with chia seeds (I prefer mixing them in and not blending them)
Drinking to my health has kept my immune system strong during this winter’s flu season, and I’m enjoying every sip. There’s nothing quite like the healthy energy buzz you get from drinking your greens, herbs, vinegar and pro-biotics.
Plus, it’s so easy. Just look for these drinks at your local grocery store or online. Salud!
